It was about fifteen years ago that I realised I needed to radically rethink my approach to eye make up.
Getting ready to go out, I’d done my usual thing shading the crease, with careful blending of greige powder shadow, but when I opened my eye all my work disappeared into the deep crevasses that have slowly formed over the millennia of my life.
It was one of those sucker punch realisation-of-aging moments that just spring up on you, when you realise something you’ve always taken for granted has gone forever.
I was shook. So I asked two eminent make up artist pals for their advice.
